Sunday 20th April 2008 - Three more Aikido Black Belts and another Brown belt
After their success last year, the same three Aikido candidates from the Devizes Budo Club successfully achieved their Black Belt status. At the same event the club gained another Brown Belt
.
Dave Wilkinson, Mary Hutchings and Alison Pratt all gained their Black belts after demonstrating their skills against various attackers over a 30 minute period. Simon Taylor also showed his prowess when he acheived the level of Brown belt. Well done to all!
Sunday 22nd April 2007 - Three New Aikido Brown belts
Three Aikido candidates from the Devizes Budo Club successfully achieved their 1st Kyu Brown belt status on Sunday 22nd April in Aylesbury. After each had undergone an exhausting half hour of set techniques which included weapons and two man attacks. Mary Hutchings, Dave Wilkinson and Alison Pratt all gave good demonstrations of their art to clinch the coveted prize. Dave was the first to show off his mastery of attack control followed by a solid demonstration from Alison and then the grading panel watched in amazement as Mary the smallest of the team easily performed Koshinage's (hip throws) on her 6ft 3", 17 and a half Stone opponent, who was a foot taller and well over twice her weight.

November 2006 - 6th Dan Aikido Sensei receives local Recognition
Sensei Bill Harris 6th Dan Aikido from Aylesbury who is currently the head of the national Aikido organisation, the "Kai Shin Kai" was awarded an honorary Life membership of the Devizes Budo Club at a course given by him and held at the club on Sunday 26th November.
The award was in recognition for all the help and support that he has given to the Aikido section of the Budo club over the years. Sensei Harris who is 70 has been practising Aikido for 36 years.
Also on the day he presided over a grading in which club members Sadie Keohane received blue belt, John Jacques received green and Richard Hughes gained his yellow belt.
